The House Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committee will hold it’s second hearing on HF981 on Tuesday of next week, which would require installation of adult size changing facilities in new or remodeled establishments. After the first hearing a few weeks ago, the author was instructed by committee to work within rulemaking.
On Tuesday, the A1 Amendment to HF981 will be offered, and is expected to be adopted. It would require the Commissioner of Labor and Industry to adopt rules requiring adult-size changing facilities as part of the Sate Building Code, and give authority to adopt the rules under an expedited process.
